From Monday the Walmart company will require the mandatory use of a facial mask for all customers who visit them, to safeguard the safety of both them and their collaborators.
This measure also includes the Sam´Club chain. “Currently, about 65 percent of our more than 5,000 stores and Sam’s Clubs are located in areas where there is some kind of government mandate to cover their faces. To help provide consistency in stores and Sam’s Clubs, we will require all shoppers to cover their faces starting Monday, July 20”, Walmart reported.
They also indicated that they have started an information and training campaign for all their collaborators on the new measures to be taken.
“In addition to posting explanatory posters in front of our stores, Walmart has created the role of Health Ambassador and will place them near the entrance to remind those of us without a mask of our new requirements.”
Several options have come into consideration for clients who come without a mask or face shield, looking for a solution, such as giving masks at admission or can buy them on site. Likewise, the different stores will have only one entrance.
“We know that not everyone may be able to cover their faces. Our employees will receive training on those exceptions to help reduce friction for the buyer and make the process as easy as possible for everyone,” Walmart reported.
