The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, decreed three days of mourning for the death of Diego Armando Maradona, who died on Wednesday morning at the age of 60.
“On the occasion of the death of Diego Armando Maradona, the President of the Nation decrees three days of national mourning from the date of the date,” said the Presidency of Argentina through a statement.
The head of state expressed through his Twitter account his gratitude for the “happiness” that the soccer star gave to the Argentines.

Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, also expressed her sadness for the death of the former Argentine soccer player.

Maradona was hospitalized in a Buenos Aires clinic for ten days at the beginning of November for anemia, dehydration and with a “low mood”, but when doing check-ups he was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma for which he was operated.
